Toward the LIght has been supporting individuals engaged in the expressive arts for the past four and a half years. The initial concept has developed into a literary journal plus! and its focus is to encourage emerging and established creatives to continue to look beyond clichés of dark and light: Toward The Light offers a place to:

As every subscription comes in, Deb and I are tempted to increase the print run but we remind each other that we are simply two women with an invincible belief that the voice for the light, as expressed through the arts, needs to be heard now more than ever. We are not connected to nor sponsored nor financially supported by any organization or government grant. Such connections can sometimes confuse the light.
Deb and I simply trust that this vital voice will find listeners who also believe in the power of the light. We hope you are one of them and will, through your submissions and subscriptions, support the spread of this voice. In the five years Toward The Light has been growing we have found that to be true.
We hope you will join us to raise this voice for the arts and for light around the world. By doing so you will also be encouraged to continue your creative expression.
How are you going to respond?
